French Wine Imports

French wine imports commenced for Red Bridge in late March/early April 2019 with a series of tasting events and dinners throughout the country. We were extremely fortunate to have the company of our good friend and negotiant; Anthony Crameri here in NZ to assist with the launch and it was a highly successful and extremely enjoyable way to start what will be a large part of Red Bridge’s portfolio in years to come..

The portfolio contains two very good grower Champagnes from Charles Mignon; an eight generation cave in Epernay who previously had distribution everywhere in the world except NZ, three Bordeaux blend wines along with two wines from the top of the Southern Rhone and completed by two standout St Emilion Grand Cru and two Margaux appellation wines including the extremely highly rated and unique Createur from Chateau Haut Breton.

New in 2020 are the Left Bank wines of the Meyre family, a brother and sister duo who are the 6th generation of family winemakers based in Haut Medoc. 2018 winners of the prestigious Couple de Cru Bourgeois for their Cap Leon Veyrin 2015 (now sold by Red Bridge) they also produce a great value Haut Medioc – Chateau Julien – and the superb easy drinking Le Petit Lyon Bordeaux blend.
